!3th Century lead seal matrix
Description
English: A worn medieval lead seal matrix of 13th century date. Roughly circular in shape but slightly warped due to wear or abrasion, which also obscures inscription. Decoration consists of a central octofoil surrounded by circle seperating it from inscription. Of the inscription only the starting letter is visible, an S which stands for signum. On the reverse of the seal matrix remains of an unpierced lug survives.

Measurments: 22.06mm in diameter. 6.82mm thick. 15.38g in weight
